As the most diverse community in the nation, Queens offers a wealth of interests and activities. Our first class sporting events, cultural institutions and nature parks draw thousands of people each year.

Recreation. The Parks Department is proud to unveil our latest brochure outlining all the fun things to do and see in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The Park is home not only to the Unisphere, but the US Open Tennis Tournament, Queens Theatre in the Park, and more.

Growth. Rreal estate development is revitalizing the Borough of Queens. We are pleased to present this collection of photos and architectural renderings highlighting development in some of our most important communities, including:

Queens Poet Laureate 2010
On June 17th, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall was joined by Queens College President James Muyskens at an installation ceremony for the fifth Poet Laureate of Queens, Paolo Javier, who will serve in this position from 2010 to 2013.
