Revised Date for Budget Hearings FY 2013!

In accordance with Section 241 of the New York City Charter, the Queens Borough Board will hold a public hearing on the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2013 Preliminary Expense and Capital Budgets on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6th, 2012 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

We look forward to hearing your comments on the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2013 Preliminary Budget. This input will be used to develop the Queens Borough Board Budget Priorities for Fiscal Year 2013. All Expense and Capital requests for funding should be presented at the hearing. However, if applying for Capital funding and represent a Not for Profit (501c3), review the guidelines & complete the application located at http://www.nyc.gov/html/capgrants/capgrants.html by January 28th. The hearing will be held in Room 200 in Queens Borough Hall. Please be prepared to submit (20) twenty written copies of your testimony.

Registration begins on Wednesday, January 25th. To register for speaking time, call 1-718-286-2900 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd at 5:00 p.m. Times will be allotted to those testifying in the order in which they registered. THERE IS A MAXIMUM OF 3 MINUTES ON SPEAKING TIME! Anyone else wishing to provide testimony may appear in person the day of the hearing and will be added to the list in consecutive order.
