Help the Parks
Our parks and green spaces are essential to the stability of our neighborhoods.

Parks thrive when they have an active community helping to lobby and care for them.

Many individuals and groups volunteer in New York City's parks on a regular basis. Some participate periodically. A great number of people take part in Park's annual citywide volunteer events like Green-Up Months in April and May and Clean-Up Day in October.

To get involved in Queens, call the Queens Borough Wide Coordinator: Ernestine Ward at 1-718-520-5913.

You might want to join Partnerships for Parks. Their mission is "to direct outreach and assistance to local citizen groups that support neighborhood parks..." To get more information or to get on their mailing list call 1-212-360-1357 or go to their website at www.partnershipsforparks.org
