Tenants and homeowners looking to lower their property tax bills or freeze their rents may enroll in money-saving programs like STAR, SCRIE and DRIE during an enrollment event that the Queens Borough President's Office and the New York City Department of Fiance will hold on March 12 from 10 am to noon in Queens Borough Hall (120-55 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens). HOMEOWNERS: Apply for an exemption and lower your property tax bill. TENANTS: Seniors and people with disabilities can apply for SCRIE or DRIE to keep their rent from increasing.
