Queens Historical Society welcomes a special guest: Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas to speak as part of our Immigrant Voices Series. Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas who is from Astoria, Queens has made a name for herself as the first Greek-American to be elected to office in New York and the first female to be elected to office for her district. Join us on October 17th at 6:30 PM at as we welcome Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas.

Immigrant Voices is an exhibition in which we explore the thoughts, struggles and difficulties of those who have emigrated to the United States. It is an exhibition that showcases the diversity and uniqueness that is of the borough of Queens.
