Donated Items Accepted Through December 20th for Families in Need
QUEENS, NY – Borough President Melinda Katz announced today the start of her Holiday Toy Drive at Queens Borough Hall for families in need. Queens residents are encouraged to donate new toys and board games for children of all ages. Toiletries will also be accepted.
Donations dropped off at Queens Borough Hall are anonymous and are not tax-deductible. At the conclusion of the Holiday Toy Drive on Thursday, December 20th, the donated items will be distributed by several community-based organizations to families in need across Queens, including families living at borough homeless shelters.
“This is a time to rejoice with our families and give thanks for the blessings in our lives,” said Borough President KATZ. “In the spirit of giving, please consider donating to make sure kids across the borough will share in the joy of this holiday season.”
Anyone interested in donating can do so by placing their item into the Holiday Toy Drive box in the lobby of Queens Borough Hall, located at 120-55 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens.
Queens Borough Hall can be easily reached by mass transit by taking the E or F subway lines to the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station.
