QUEENS, NY – Borough President Melinda Katz today announced the slate of performers, dates, times and locations for the shows that will be held this July and August as part of the 2015 “Katz Concert Series”.
“The Concert Series got off to a great start this year with several amazing performances held all across Queens this June,” said Borough President KATZ. “The concert lineup we have arranged for July and August features a wide array of talent that is sure to be enjoyed by Queens residents and visitors alike.”
“With the warmth of the summer finally here, the Kupferberg Center for the Arts moves outdoors to present performances in parks throughout the borough,” said Queens College President FÉLIX MATOS RODRÍGUEZ. “Our partnership with the Queens Borough President’s Office, the Queens Parks Department and the New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will bring music and dance to parks from the Rockaways to Long Island City and everywhere in between. We are especially grateful for the support from Borough President Melinda Katz for sponsoring many of our outdoor concerts this summer.”
